First let's create a space in your home or if you can, go outside in nature, it's a wonderful choice. I will go to the ocean as much as I can. I also have a special place on the second floor balcony of my bedroom. I have a large window that I view the sky with all it's weather and seasons. I also have a warm wool carpet to place my pillows. The wool retains my previous energy, and I use four pillows to sit on for my comfort. I have a quartz candle holder and I light the candle and some "Blue Pearl" brand incense. I start off standing with my hands held in prayer position. I gaze out the window. Here is when I practice my Tai Chi. Tai Chi is the gentle movement of energy to promote serenity and peace. I will open and raise my arms, pulling good energy to me. Return my hands to prayer position. I then turn a quarter turn and repeat the motion. I repeat to all four sides: North, East, South and West. This is my blessing with white light energy. (This time is set up for no interruptions. ) Now we have our time and place, have lite our candle and incense, have completed our blessing and are seated comfortably on our pillows on our wool carpet. So let's now get in good posture. As you partially close your eyes, focus on the candle's flame. Your tongue rest on the roof of your mouth. Your legs crossed, straight back and shoulders balanced. Your hands should rest on your knees, palms up, acting as a receivers of Source's energy. Your thumb and pointy finger should lightly touch to keep all energy flowing within your body. (Too Cute) To better clear your mind, think of a blue sky. A thought, when it arrives (and it will) will look like a cloud. Remember when you were a child and you made a wish on a dandelion flower? Well, blow away the clouds gently, just like the dandelion. Let your self go...relax every muscle one by one, your face- your neck- your shoulders- your hands- your legs- your feet- notice the tension drift away...Take a moment and watch this short slide show of sixteen (16) slides while you keep relaxing each muscle... breathe Now you are ready for music and adding the mantra (go to You Tube) search Om Namah Shivaya 1008 Times Chanting. Om Namah Shivaya 1008 Times Chanting
(Orange color, looks something like this picture above) Om Namah Shivaya This is my mantra "Om Namah Shivaya" it's meaning is "I bow to my inner Self". Consider it as yours. I prefer to understand exactly what I am saying when I sing, starting my meditation. It is the vibration of your voice you want to be enjoying, it will enhance your experience of meditation. You would start the music only after your have created time and a space for your meditation. Turn off the phone, be somewhere peaceful, and avoid any interruptions. Clear your mind, relax and find your peace while blessing yourself in white light energy. Light a candle and burn incense if you like, I do. I prefer "Blue Pearl" brand classic champa incense. Have faith and trust that only good vibration will come to you from the Source. Play the music and enjoy you own vibration...focusing on the words...be at rest...breathe....feel...enjoy...when the music ends sit in the beauty you have created and listen to the stillness for as long as you can... If prayer is talking to Source than meditation is listening to Source. This is when you will hear your communication. I like doing this in a group...men have such a deep vibration, I totally enjoy, and the adding of drums to the music is even better. I would prefer a song that gets faster at the end, really bringing up the energy, but this will get you started. Let me know if you try this. Peace and Bliss Om Namah Shivaya | 1008 Times Chanting 1008 times chanting of Shiva mantra 'Om Namah Shivaya' (Find on You Tube) Start the music, have a shawl or small blanket ready to wrap over your shoulders, for your body temperature will drop while meditating...I will add a bit of movement while sitting, a slight sway perhaps. As you shift your weight from side to side this will help you to sit more comfortably longer. ...Peace and Bliss When the music ends, this is when you actually start to meditate. Enjoy the vibration of the energy you have just created...listen...repeat the mantra if you start to drift back into thought. Om Namah Shivaya, Om Namah Shivaya...Listen...breathe...Om Namah Shivaya...relax... Okay, you have come this far, wonderful! You may have only succeeded in relaxing this first time and that is huge!!! I practiced for years (12 to age 17) with not much more then that. By age 17 I was completely enmeshed in Bliss. I contemplated much about life, it's meaning and my purpose in it. I have self examined my life daily and contemplated even more. Meditations is something I can do for hours at a time, but you, like me, will grow into it. The benefits are amazing, so stick with it, adding a bit more time as you continue as often as you possibly can. You will come to miss it if you skip several days. I am wishing the best of experiences for all of you. My experiences have been overwhelmingly beautiful. I have been awakened and I am in a state of love.
Peace and Bliss The day my Kundalini was awakened I was just 17. It was the day I learned the word Bliss for the first time. I was at the beach on Cape Cod, on a cool fall day and no one else was at the beach that day. I was meditating, as usual, and saw the blue pearl (my inner most self) in my third eye for the first time. All of my body felt such a surging of amazing love, unlike anything I have ever felt before. I could not contain myself that day, and needed to leap for joy, literally.... I danced and leaped and twirled, my heart was so full of ecstasy. Bliss was the only word that came to mind. The secret to living a beautiful life is hidden inside of us, when you awaken, love is there in it's complete magnificence. So go ahead and peel back all the layers and uncover your Bliss and Free Your Soul. Peace and Bliss
Why I Meditate . I have been meditating since the age of twelve, inspired by George Harrison of the Beatles. It started out simply offering me inner peace. By the age of seventeen meditations brought bliss into my life for the first time. Over the years it has evolved. I can reach a steady state of well being and peace within minutes of starting a meditation. I have discovered great unknown truths while meditating. I am at the point, now in my life, that nearly my whole day is meditative. I am the happiest, most content, peaceful and free feeling woman that I have ever been. I can forgive, accept, be compassionate, grateful and kind. I really do not have any burning desires. I have lived a good life with great joys. I truly believe any one can have what I have through meditation, contemplation and self-examination. Peace and Bliss
What is your goal, your prize, your purpose or your mission? Soon, you will be on the top of the world... Peace and Bliss
